                               GRACE CHANGES YOUR CAREER PATH

     “While we look not at the things which are seen,
         but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen

1. Evaluate: What is Your Career Path?
a. What are you working for? Why do you wake up in the morning? – 1 John 2:15-16
b. 1) “I don’t know”; 2) Ambitious “every day to the fullest”; 3) American dreamers
c. No new thing under the sun to pursue in our fourscore – Ecclesiastes 1:9-10, Psalms 90:10
d. We plan our lives til death… but death is not the end – Hebrews 9:27
e. What do you plan to do in eternity?... harps, divine lay-z-boy, go to church?

2. Your Career Path as an Ambassador
Ø  Did you know that non matter your earthly vocation, you have a career path that transcends your mortal status? You are an Ambassador. This is the job title you did not earn.
a. If you are saved, eternity has already begun.
b. Resume: Your are not much without Christ.
·        “All come short …” is not giving up, it is opening your eyes -           Romans 3:10, 3:23
·        You are dead, with a burial plot – Romans 6:1-3, Romans 8:9-10, Galatians 2:20
·        You are bought with a price, and have hope – 1 Corinthians 6:20, Romans 5:8
c. Occupation: Ambassador, saint, minister, Christ’s servant – 2 Corinthians 5:15-21
·        Walk worthy of your vocation! - Ephesians 4:1, Colossians 1:9-11
·        We are to make all men see the fellowship of the mystery –     Ephesians 3:9-11
·        Paul never said, “Christ sent me to make tents.” – Acts 18:3
d. Office: Presently evil - Gal 1:4; body that sins – Romans 7:24; God’s temple –
   1 Corinthians 3:16
e. Hours: night shift … and day shift – 1 Thessalonians 2:9, 3:10, you’re already late - Ephesians 5:16
f. Time off: Rejoice in the Lord; old man is dead - Rom 6:3, life is in Christ – Colossians 3:3
g. Benefits: Eternal life: Rom 6:23; spiritual blessings: Ephesians 1:3; wisdom, rewards
h. Job review: By Christ – Romans 14:12; til then by the Bible, church, others – 2 Timothy 4:2
·        Advancement: Rewards: 1 Corinthians 3:14; positions: 2 Timothy 2:12; raises: 1 Corinthians 15:51-54
·        Promotion to glory when you die – Romans 8:16-19, Philippians 1:21
j. Education: Study on your own – 2 Timothy 2:15; the Spirit teaches – 1 Corinthians 2:12
·        Your training begins now – Ephesians 2:10, Titus 2:11-15

3. Day by Day as an Ambassador
a. Climbing the spiritual career ladder is strength – Colossians 1:9-11, 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
b. Your fruit changes, because strength is not in worldly success, but spiritual success
c. To the clueless: Living a content, quiet, and peaceful live is good, but,… 1 Timothy 2:1-4
·        You already have a career path, learn the job, take on the identity.
d. To the ambitious: Life is not dull, but we will be accountable to the Lord.
·        Life is not for temp experience, but for the glory of God – Ephesians 1:6, 2 Corinthians 4:15
e. To dreamers who “play the game”: Your work is in danger of disappearing:                                                                                                             1 Corinthians 3:13
·        Our profession is as the Lord’s ambassador – 1 Timothy 6:6-12
·        It is time to get untangled from this life’s affairs – 2 Timothy 2:1-4
·        Ministry work is not only for gray hairs and “career” ministers –
 2 Timothy 4:5
